There’s More 

In Sacred Scripture, the number 50 marks moments of extraordinary grace. The Year of Jubilee proclaimed freedom and restoration. The descent of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost forever changed the world. As we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Diocese of Orange, we look back with gratitude for all that God has done. Yet we gather not simply to remember the past, but to pray with great anticipation for all that God has planned for our future. 

Jesus commissioned his disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations.” That divine command continues with us, and our mission begins right here in Orange County. Just as the first disciples gathered in the Upper Room before Pentecost, we will gather at the Honda Center as modern-day disciples united in prayer, inspired by powerful testimonies, and renewed through dynamic praise. Together, we will ask the Holy Spirit to ignite within us a deeper desire for Christ, prepare our hearts for what God has willed for us, and help us be courageous missionary disciples in our parishes.

As we celebrate 50 years as the Diocese of Orange, our Catholic faith—ever ancient, ever new— reminds us that God’s grace is never exhausted, his mercy never runs dry, and his plan is always greater than we can imagine. 

Don’t settle for where you are. 

Don’t settle for comfort. 

Don’t settle for enough. 

Because with Jesus, there’s more.
